Education

In the Northwest, one in four jobs depends on international trade. That means that today's students need to know what international trade really is and how it affects their lives.

At the Port of Seattle, trade is at the heart of what we do, and we are committed to educating students about trade and transportation.

As both a government agency and a business, the Port has a unique opportunity to link schools and businesses. In fact, teachers at diverse grade levels look to the Port to provide information and access to the world of international trade and transportation. As a result, our education programs are designed to respond to these demands and to help prepare students for a future in the global marketplace.

The Port offers programs that are linked to classroom curricula, relevant for the learners and fun for all. It is our goal that these programs provide students with a passport to the exciting world of international trade and transportation.
