Access Site
Members of the South Park community, environmental groups, City of Seattle and the Port, planted a cherry tree, a gift from Kobe, as part of the opening of the new South Park / Eighth Avenue Public Shoreline Access Site located on the corner of Eighth Avenue South and South Portland Street.

Princess Donates Furniture to
Seattle-area Charity
Princess Cruises donated surplus furniture to Seattle's Union Gospel Mission. The Star Princess was in Seattle for a retrofit and provided two truckloads of chairs, tables and couches. The Union Gospel Mission serves the needs of Seattle's homeless community.

Sea-Tac's Third Runway Opening Approaches
Alaska Airlines provided the first commercial-type aircraft to land on Sea-Tac's 3rd runway, as part of the FAA certification. Watch a video clip here.
