A New Airline and a Route to Europe for Sea-Tac Airport

Lufthansa Airlines has landed at Sea-Tac with non-stop daily flights to Frankfurt. From Frankfurt, Lufthansa passengers can connect to some 135 destinations in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Russia, Africa and India.

The addition of Lufthansa brings the total number of European service routes at Sea-Tac to six. The others are British Airways to London, Northwest Airlines to Amsterdam and London, SAS to Copenhagen, and Air France to Paris. Other international service from Sea-Tac includes six airlines serving Asia, two serving Mexico, and four airlines providing service to Canada. Hainan Airlines, another new carrier for Sea-Tac Airport, inaugurates non-stop service to Beijing in June.

Seattle to Frankfurt (Flight 491)
Departs Arrives
2:30 p.m. 9:25 a.m. (the next day).

Frankfurt to Seattle (Flight 490)

Departs Arrives
11:20 a.m. 12:35 p.m. (the same day)

Lufthansa's ticket counter is at the south end of the Main Terminal. Flights arrive and depart from the South Satellite. Lufthansa will use Carousel One in Baggage Claim.

 

The Seattle-Frankfurt flights will be operated on a 221-seat Airbus A330-300. Features include in-flight personal entertainment screens in economy and six-foot, six-inch beds in Business Class. First class passengers will have access to Lufthansa's first-class terminals and lounges in both Frankfurt and Munich.
